It should have been that way

This is an inspirational poem I have written yesterday. It s very special and close to my heart.
It speaks about a little girl who is born in a land where hope is lost, and nothig remains but despair and gloom.

She awaits great destiny but…

Read on…
In the deepest corners, in the darkest hours,
Hearts desolate, dreams rested & souls lost,
A ray came into living. They went by; blind to the spark it spread,
Unknown of its might, unmoved by its mirth,
A ghost it was, unwelcomed and cast away.

Showered with basketful of love, bathed in the ocean of never-ending joy,
It should have been that way…

Adorned with flowers and petals,
It would have lightened up the day.
It should have been that way…

With silent words & screaming plight,
It humored in tears night & day.

A stranger to the smile, a stranger to the joy,
A stranger to its own light, a stranger to the day,
No rainbows, no daisies, no pearls, no jewels,
Nothing but a shadow to play.

The mountain crest, the cloudy highs, it would have reached the starry skies.
Its destiny would have been just a mile away.
It should have been that way.

Alone and timid, cold and tired,
The ray lived in its own dark decay.
Build of dreams, filled of desires
It rose and walked out, hoping to reach the sky.
Winds grew, rains poured, the sun grew mad,
For the season of death had showed its ugly face.
They killed the roses, they stomped the butterflies,
Anything that came their way.
Bleeding earth & crying omen,
No eyes turned down, no shame rose in dismay.
Carrying hearts of stones & and eyes of fury,
They knew no mercy, no Christmas day.

It climbed the peak & entered the dragon’s mouth,
For there was no hope, no heaven as they say.
It closed its eyes to lose itself,
To lose the life, to giveaway the dreams,
And then its soul mirrored itself,
It showed the dream they made,
Of the dancing joys and laughing times,
Of merry nights and the future days.

With a sword and an armor,
The fearless little being fought,
For surrender was not going to be the way.
Bloody rain & teary sun, the mighty battle had begun.
It fought like a brave one, no breathing nor sweating,
A battle till the very breath of its day.

Showered with basketful of love, bathed in the ocean of never-ending joy,
It should have been that way…

Adorned with flowers and petals,
It would have lightened up the day.
It should have been that way…
